Do You EPP?

With the summer months and summer travel approaching, the Cotton Patch wants to enable you to create on the go by introducing (or re-introducing) you to English Paper Piecing. Launching soon on our YouTube channel will be a series of FREE English Paper Piecing (EPP) tutorials. EPP is an excellent sewing companion while on the go.

What is English Paper Piecing?

English Paper Piecing is a hand sewing technique in which fabric is wrapped around a paper shape, then the shapes sewn together.

Why we think you’ll love it:

  • You can literally sew from anywhere! Everywhere is an opportunity to create: waiting rooms, sporting events, backyard, car, in front of the TV, on the airplane, on vacation. It is small, portable, and a game changer for those who want to sew everywhere but don’t want to lug their machine around.
  • Great scrap buster. We know that scraps happen, so turn them into EPP! Use them to embellish any of your sewing projects or take the leap and make a quilt.
  • Another skill set to add to the sewing tool belt.
  • Learn to see fabric in a whole new way.
  • Slow stitching is Zen stitching.
