Project Linus: Year-Round Blanket Drop-Off at The Cotton Patch

Making a Difference, One Blanket at a Time

Are you looking for a way to give back to your community and bring comfort to children in need? The Cotton Patch in Lafayette, CA, is proud to serve as a year-round drop-off location for Project Linus blankets.

What Is Project Linus?

Project Linus is a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to providing handmade blankets to children from birth to 18 years old who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need of comfort. With chapters in every state, Project Linus relies on the generosity and creativity of volunteers to make and donate blankets, which are then distributed to local children facing difficult circumstances.

How You Can Help

  • Make a Blanket: Whether you knit, crochet, quilt, or sew, you can create a blanket for a child in need. All Project Linus blankets must be handmade, new, and washable.
  • Drop Off Your Donation: Bring your finished blankets or donated supplies to The Cotton Patch during shop hours (Monday–Saturday, 10am–4pm). We’ll ensure your donation reaches Project Linus and, ultimately, a child who needs it most.

Why Donate to Project Linus?

Every blanket donated to Project Linus is given directly to a child in need—never sold or used for fundraising. Your handmade gift can provide warmth, security, and a sense of hope to children facing medical challenges, trauma, or other hardships.
